Today I ran the happiest 5K on the planet, The Color Run.  Let me rephrase- Catie, Carys, and I ran, skipped, jumped and danced through loads of color as we traversed 5 kilometers of Philadelphia.  

What is the Color Run? How does it work? Grab 2 (or more) of your most fun friends and sign up. Buy something cool to accent your outfit (tutu, hula skirt, or martian antennae will suffice). Then, at each kilometer, volunteers splash you with colored dust. At the end of the race there was a big festival with the most fun music and all the participants throwing color in the air and dancing. What could be bad?

I’m not gonna lie, it took a scrubbing to get myself clean, but it was so fun traipsing through the city all colorful.  The owner of Spread Bagelry even took a picture of us to tweet!

Sometimes it’s great to turn off the GPS and just enjoy yourself. I think this was a great way to celebrate a summer day and I think it might even become an annual tradition!
